Family Support
I support families of children with disabilities through consultation, advocacy guidance, and collaborative problem-solving. Drawing on more than twenty-five years of lived and professional experience, I help families navigate uncertainty, build strong partnerships, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
I never want a family to feel like they need to walk this journey alone.
How I Can Help

Family Support
Families have always been at the heart of my work. As the mother of two sons who are deafblind, I know firsthand how overwhelming a diagnosis can feel and how difficult it can be to navigate unfamiliar systems while trying to hold onto hope.
For more than twenty-five years, I've partnered with families as a researcher, special educator, and parent. I provide guidance on special education, collaboration with schools, and effective advocacy, while creating a space where families feel heard, respected, and understood.
Over the years, I've also come to appreciate the power of storytelling. Every family has a story, and taking the time to share it—to be truly listened to—can bring clarity, connection, and a renewed sense of purpose. I believe our stories help us make sense of where we've been, discover new possibilities, and remind us that we are never as alone as we may feel.
Whether you're navigating a new diagnosis, preparing for an IEP meeting, or simply looking for someone who understands the journey, my goal is to walk alongside you with compassion, perspective, and practical support—helping you move forward with greater confidence and hope.
